Erica Huber: Artist's Statement

I paint people and the beauty of nature with watercolors & acrylics. Having my own children inspired me to capture a child's spirit in my commission portraits. I paint Portland, the Oregon coastline and scenes from the Columbia Gorge and Mount Hood from my own adventures, and I travel further afield doing commission paintings from photographs.

I am one of those lucky few who actually grew up to live my childhood dream. I catch myself grinning with joy as I set up my classroom for the next art lesson and I feel the same joy when I sit down to paint my next piece.
