Cameras and digital imaging have been part of Sven’s previous engineering career and from his first camera as a young child to his latest electronic marvel, his interest in capturing images grows stronger. Sven learned to master the various phases of the digital darkroom by being an early adopter of digital photography.
Sven Durland began exhibiting his photos in 2005. He has since been in several art shows. In June of 2006 he received four awards in the same show (Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts 2006 - the largest art exhibit in the Northwest). He was also invited to show his work at the coveted Lake Oswego Arts Chronicle 2006.
Sven Durland runs a fine art printing studio, Durland Digital in Lake Oswego, where he serves a large number of artists that rely on his skill and eye to reproduce their artworks and photos accurately. His giclee prints produced are known to be exceptional in detail, color and clarity.
