Sven Durland: Artist's Statement

The most amazing phase is to see my image "develop" out of a large format printer with details larger than life. The quality I can achieve with modern technology is just phenomenal. Print longevity is important to me and I'm therefore taking advantage of UltraChrome K3 archival printing with pigmented inks. Besides longevity, the visual result is stunning.

I look for scenes out of the ordinary that I can freeze to preserve the uniqueness. Most of my subjects are close to the lens, revealing their intriguing quality.
